Ja' Rod Randolph Student- Athlete | Photographer | Stylist
My name is Ja' Rod Randolph I'm a student-athlete attending William Peace University and currently undecided on my major. I was born in Wilmington, NC; however, at a early age due to my parents no longer being together I moved eight hours away to Stone Mountain, Georgia were I lived in a two bed room apartment with my farther. At the end of my freshmen year in high school I moved back to North Carolina where I settled for 3 more years in a small town known as Kenansville, NC. It wasn't easy moving away from Georgia but family was closer. Over the years art has been my escape from the world, no matter If I was drawing, taking pictures, or designing my own clothes it helped me express myself and find myself. Art saved me from the darkness that surrounded the community I lived in. I'm from a place where one is either going to work a nine-to-five to support themselves, play ball, or sell drugs. College was looked at as a waste of time and never an option. However, with the guidance of family and my passion for art, I decided to go to college and create opportunity for myself and be a role model to kids in my community who think just because of where they live they can't be successful because I was once that kid who didn't believe as well. With this love for art I will continue to create, innovate, and influence through my vision and self expression. The ultimate goal is to change the world and how the people of this world look at it. |
